You can enjoy the sunset over the Northern Alps throughout the seasons. The sight of the setting sun illuminating the frost-covered trees and snow-white landscapes is truly magical.

Especially in November and February, twice a year, you can witness the breathtaking "Sunset Pierced by Mt. Yari," where the silhouette of Mt. Yari stands out clearly against the sunset. This is a must-see spectacular view!

Starry Sky and Milky Way Viewing

On clear nights, at an altitude of 1,500 meters, you can enjoy a sky full of stars and the magical Milky Way in the clean air with minimal artificial light.

In the highland area over 1,500 meters above sea level where Hanoi Pension Ski Resort is located, a diverse range of wild animals live freely in their natural habitat.

You might spot squirrels busily gathering nuts, Japanese serows peeking out from the forest shadows, and occasionally even foxes. This nature-rich environment has become a popular spot for wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers from around the world.

Wildlife is most active during early mornings and evenings, increasing your chances of encounters. Don't forget your camera!

Hanoi Pension Ski Resort is home to a diverse range of wild birds. The surrounding forests and highlands are inhabited by many rare bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatching enthusiasts.

Especially in the morning hours, you'll be able to hear the songs of many birds. Breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the sounds of nature.

We recommend birdwatching from the terrace while enjoying a cup of fair trade coffee. Some birds that are usually shy may appear during quiet times. When observing, please be considerate and avoid causing unnecessary stress to the birds.

Here at Hanoi Pension, we're dedicated to developing a stunning rose garden to showcase new attractions of Minenohara Kogen. We're carefully cultivating flowers to offer our guests a different perspective of Minenohara Kogen's beauty.

The area around our pension is truly a floral paradise, with seasonal alpine flowers and wild plants blooming throughout the year.

From spring to summer, as the snow melts, you can enjoy the Adonis ramosa (twinflower) peeking through, followed by a vibrant display of alpine plants like the daylily and red-flowered Indian pipe, creating a colorful floral landscape.

Please note that these mountain wildflowers, though small and delicate, are precious parts of our natural ecosystem. When observing them, please watch your step and be careful not to trample the flowers.
